Request a Grant

The Foundation for Armenian Youth is available to support organizations that enhance the lives of our youth. With the help of generous contributors, we are able to fund national and local projects that positively impact our community (view our grant history). We are proud sponsors of cultural activities, Armenian education, and athletic and camping programs that instill cultural appreciation and knowledge in our youth. We encourage all qualified organizations to submit grant requests.

 

Proposals should be submitted to the Grants Committee prior to the July 31st annual application deadline. You can send your proposal by email or mail to the following:

Grant Request Guidelines

Please provide the following items as part of your grant request.

Cover Letter

A one-page summary should be provided with your project request stating:

  1. Purpose of the project

  2. Funds requested

  3. Requesting organization

  4. Contact person with address and telephone number

 

Formal Proposal

  • Provide background information, description of the specific need, and its potential benefit to Armenian youth in America.

  • The purpose or objective of the project needs to be carefully stated. As many of the following items as possible should be covered to assure completeness of the request.

    • Describe how the goals are to be achieved

    • Include methods and techniques to be employed

    • If capital improvement or purchase of equipment is involved, provide necessary technical information, e.g. quotes, bids, etc.

    • If funding is required for an ongoing project, describe the status of the project to date.

  • Please include:

    • Total funds needed

    • A complete budget should be detailed projecting the overall expenses of the program. Include the following: maintenance, installation, supplies, and insurance.

    • Identify other sources of funds for the project including: name of the organization, amount requested, date submitted, and status.

    • Identify date required for funding

  • Provide a complete schedule (with milestones) that you have established to achieve your goal.

  • Identify the responsible person who will play a key role.

    Qualifications of that person and the management procedures or techniques to be used to monitor the project and evaluate its results are necessary.

  • Identify how you intend to provide appropriate recognition to the Foundation for Armenian Youth on your project.
