Foundation Announces 2025 Grants Supporting Armenian Youth, Education & Cultural Awareness

WATERTOWN, MA – The Foundation for Armenian Youth announced the awarding of six grants for 2025, totaling to $65,000, to support programs and capital improvements that strengthen Armenian identity, expand educational resources, and enrich youth experiences across the community. This year’s recipients reflect the Foundation’s continued focus on youth-centered spaces, educator tools, and meaningful cultural programming in both the United States and Armenia.

Since its incorporation in 1975, the Foundation has remained committed to fostering Armenian culture and heritage through strategic financial support of initiatives that serve Armenian-American youth. The Foundation’s grants are funded through the income generated by its Capital Fund, allowing donor contributions to remain preserved while supporting annual awards that respond to evolving community needs.

The 2025 grant recipients and their projects are as follows:

  • Camp Haiastan: Upper camp pavilion

  • AYF Eastern Region: Support for first-time attendees at the 2026 Junior Seminar

  • Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Church (Providence): Custom-built trophy case for the Youth Room

  • The Genocide Education Project (GenEd): Support for genocide education programming and cultural awareness initiatives for youth and teachers in the U.S. and Armenia

  • Armenian Sisters Academy (Philadelphia): Purchase of new laptops for the school’s dedicated teachers

  • St. Stephen’s Armenian Elementary School (Boston): Additional technology upgrades

“These grants capture the heart of what we aim to do—invest in the places, programs, and tools that help Armenian youth learn, gather, lead, and stay connected to their heritage,” said Robert Tutunjian, Board Chairman. “From camp infrastructure to classroom technology to genocide education, each award supports something tangible that will impact young people and the educators who guide them.”
